 Television Identification Symbols have come a long way from static slide captions. We've seen mechanical models, filmed animations, electronically generated idents, laser disk playout and now video servers. This section is young and still growing, but we present television idents from UK terrestrial, satellite and cable, from 1936 to the present day. Covering the announcments and captions between programmes, particularly when things go wrong. Prepare the Guest Room for Mr Cock-up.
